Africa

My daughter, Kristy, left on Mother's Day for a "five week volunteer-to-help-the-people" trip to Africa. She has been gone about two and a-half weeks. Her emails have been interesting and I admire her for doing this at her own expense and time. As a mother I worry about her health and safety. I would love to show some of her emails on the blog, but can't figure out how to do that yet . . . She is on Facebook (Kris Hirschbeck)

Finally

Well, I'm not very good at this blogging thing and have just discovered "Facebook". It is a little more up to the minute and what is going on and a little easier to communicate with others. I will try harder to blog and had a billion pictures I was going to share, but accidently deleted all from camera and computer. Soooooo, when I get more I will share.

We did go to a place called Canyon De Chilly (pronounced Canyon De Shea) in Arizona for a week. It was like a small Grand Canyon and beautiful but freezing. Had great pictures :-(
